Working without borders

IZA World of Labor contributors are calling for a “genuine European labor market without borders.”

The manifesto stands as a clear counterpoint to the prevailing pessimism about Europe and the growing opposition against free labor mobility within Europe.

It states that: “A genuine European labor market – one without borders – is […] a prerequisite for a functioning single market economy and the stability of the Euro. Without it, growth prospects are hampered – as is any hope for a Europe which manages to balance the laws of supply and demand."
