Europe must do more for Roma integration, says Martin Kahanec

The Roma are the largest ethnic minority in Europe—as well as one of the most disadvantaged. A severe lack of data measuring Roma populations and their socio-economic conditions is precluding swift progress; however, existing bits of evidence point to virtuous ways out.

In this interview, Professor Kahanec talks about his research on Roma integration and identifies the key challenges for European policymakers.
