CEDLAS, IIE-FCE-Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina

I value World of Labour because it provides a concise but rigorous way to understand how labor markets have evolved over time and the challenges they face looking forward. It also allows us to compare experiences across countries and identify both common patterns and important differences between advanced and emerging economies. Argentina is a particularly interesting case in this respect, given the macroeconomic instability it has experienced in recent years, even compared with other Latin American countries. I believe these comparative perspectives can also help encourage informed debate among the general public, policymakers, and academics.
