The main objective of the conference is to discuss cutting-edge evidence about the role of fiscal policies (e.g. taxes, social insurance and benefits, public spending programs) on the capacity of labor markets to absorb asymmetric economic shocks.
The focus will be on the effects of fiscal policy tools on labor supply, labor demand, employment and (long-term) unemployment, skill matching, and wage adjustment. The implications of various aspects of labor market adjustment for fiscal policy will also be discussed.
Keynote speakers include:
Torben M. Andersen (Aarhus University and IZA)
