    The 8th IZA/ECONtribute Workshop on the Economics of Education will convene international scholars focusing on the development of skills within both formal and informal educational contexts and their valuation in the labor market. The conference will feature a select group of presenters, alongside a poster session for local researchers from the host institutions. Presentations and the keynote speech will be accessible via Zoom to an external audience.

About the Workshop
Submissions for the next IZA Workshop on Labor Market Institutions are now open. The aim of the meeting is to bring together senior and junior researchers to discuss their most recent research related to labor market institutions.

Relevant topics include (but are not limited to):
  • Unemployment insurance
  • Employment protection
  • Active labor market policies
  • Short-time work schemes
  • Collective bargaining
  • Payroll taxes
Submissions of theoretical and empirical papers which provide credible evidence are encouraged.

Submission
Researchers interested in participating should submit preferably a full paper or an extended abstract by April 24, 2022 using the Online Application Form.

Presenters can make their papers available in advance by placing them on the IZA conference website so they can be linked to the preliminary program.

Notification of acceptance will be provided by May 22, 2022.
