    The 8th IZA/ECONtribute Workshop on the Economics of Education will convene international scholars focusing on the development of skills within both formal and informal educational contexts and their valuation in the labor market. The conference will feature a select group of presenters, alongside a poster session for local researchers from the host institutions. Presentations and the keynote speech will be accessible via Zoom to an external audience.

The conference is an activity of the IZA/DFID Program on Growth and Labor Markets in Low-Income Countries (GLM-LIC).

The goal of the conference is to bring together academic researchers, policy makers, and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations involved in training programs in Africa. The focus will be on lessons learned from design, implementation, and evaluations of training programs.

Participation in the conference is by invitation. If you are interested in attending the conference please send a short note with details on your institution and reasons for being interested in the conference to Ms. Viola Hartmann (hartmann@iza.org).

In conjunction with the conference, GLM-LIC organizes a short course on evaluation of training programs on December 14-15 2013
